Broer en zus Jackson en Angela runnen een winstgevend ghostbusters bedrijf. Ze lichten nabestaanden op met valse detectieapparatuur en Angela's paranormale 'visies'. Ze worden ingehuurd om een oud internaat te onderzoeken waar het zou spoken. Het team ontdekt al snel het angstaanjagende verleden: jongen meisjes werden op brute wijze afgeslacht en hun monden dichtgenaaid door een sadistische moordenaar. Angela staat op het punt haar verstand en de realiteit te verliezen. Ze is ervan overtuigd dat ze de meisjes hoort schreeuwen in de duisternis. Maar de bovennatuurlijke verschrikkingen als ze het echte kwaad van het huis ontdekken.
