Roy Cady is een huurmoordenaar uit New Orleans die op 40-jarige leeftijd longkanker krijgt. Voordat de kanker hem aan kan tasten heeft hij een ander probleem om op te lossen. Zijn baas heeft besloten hem via een valstrik uit de organisatie -en de wereld- te laten verdwijnen. Hij besluit te vluchten samen met een tienerhoertje genaamd Raquel "Rocky" Arceneaux dat hij bij de valstrik heeft gered. Zij haalt haar zusje Tiffany op bij haar stiefvader en met zijn nieuwe handlangers op sleeptouw gaat hij naar zijn geboortestad op zoek naar wraak en verlossing.
