Anna heeft heel wat mannen in haar leven. En ze dragen allemaal oortjes en geweren. Stuk voor stuk agenten van de Geheime Dienst met als opdracht de First Daughter te beschermen. Maar wat ze vooral doen, is haar het tienerleven zuur maken. Ze is dan wel de dochter van President, maar het enige wat ze wil is zichzelf kunnen zijn. Veelzijdig talent Mandy Moore (A Walk to Remember) vertolkt in haar eerste romantische komedie de rol van de gefrustreerde Anna. Tijdens een concert merkt ze dat haar vader (Mark Harmon) zijn belofte om het aantal agenten terug te schroeven niet heeft gehouden. Ze ontsnapt
echter aan hun waakzaam oog en zet het op een lopen met Ben, een knappe fotograaf die ze net heeft ontmoet. Anna vertelt Ben niet wie ze is. Maar Ben (nieuw gezicht Matthew Goode) heeft zelf ook een geheimpje.
